How big do Regals usually grow in captivity? Do they often exceed 7-8”?
I don't have any angelfish, but I've always loved the way the emperor looks. If I had an appropriate tank that could house one I would definitely get one.
I like the emp however I like the blue face just a little bit more and hope to have a tank big enough for one at some point. I also love the Japanese swallowtails (G. semifasciatus) and they look gorgeous when you get a pair of females and one transitions!
If I had a chance to get Genicanthus semicinctus or G.spinus and had the money to put in a 1000 gallon tank for them then I would, but that's too much to dream of. By the way, Genicanthus semifasciatus is absolutely stunning.
