My wife and I went to Coral Farmers Market this morning. Got to chat with Steve Tyree and was the first one in the door. The second vendor I got to had Japanese Weeping Willows. SCORE!!!
what a great start to a great day! Thanks Amen Corals!!!
1. Have you ever unexpectedly “scored” a hard to get or much sought after coral.
Definitely stoked!!!!!!!!

That’s a great score! Funny my fiancé and I were looking for these to add one to our tank.

Beautiful coral! I love willows.
That one looks a lot like my toadstool, it’s a petco “assorted coral” so all I can confidently call it is a toad, but for all I know maybe I scored a willow.

My “rare” score was a litho. Not the prettiest or rarest, but to my understanding aren’t the most readily available coral, lucky my lfs had some.

They can take a lot of flow and with right conditions can grow VERY fast. I got mine similar in size to yours. In about 9 months it’s gotten huge. See before and after pics.

Wow!!! Mine’s just a Japanese Weeping Willow but a Petco Weeping Willow? That’s a major score! Congrats!

Thanks, I’m not sure if it’s a willow or just a long polyp toad, I’m leaning towards the long polyp because the polyps aren’t as long as the willows I’ve seen.

How can you Teel whether a toadstool is a true Weeping Willow? I bought this gem off a LIVE SALE today and not sure how to tell the difference.
