More than likely the change in water parameters. I've often seen the same thing with caulerpa. It bleeds out and dies with a sudden water change. The ceato will most likely recover if given enough light and good water conditions.

There was hardly any water in the bag but enough to keep it damp. I hope it can recover. Ammonia and Nitrites are at 0 the Nitrates are at 20 right now. I bought this light to use.

I have the spotlight version.

I put the chaeto that was in a ball in my at tank and ran the power head and light all night. Took the piece that was still together and out in the sump. Will leave light on all day and then run normal light schedule starting tonight

It's a small piece. About the size of a half dollar coin

Good luck. Let me know how you like the light. Our local HD didn't have the spotlight version.
