I have a 72 gallon bowfront tank and thinking of upgrading my light. Right now I have the Fluval marine light 3.0 but don't know whether to get another one to help with lighting, getting a coralife T5 light or something else. Those with 72 bowfronts what are y'all using???

@jsker has a 72 bowfront, he might be able to give you some ideas or you can check out his build thread and see what he is using.

It will be similar to lighting a standard 55 or 75. You have lots of options. Those fluval lights really don't have enough power for most corals.

I love T5s, so I would just run a 4 bulb T5 unit. Some people have other preferences.

That's what I was thinking since I wanted to get some anenome or euphyllia corals next. I was thinking about getting the 4 bulb coralife T5 but only thing I hate is u can't control the lights unless they have different switches for the bulbs.

A second Fluval marine light? I have also read that. Would two Fluval marine lights be strong enough for those types of corals??.

I believe 2 fluval marine lights would be as capable as 4 t5 lamps. Each fluval marine is roughly equivalent to 2 t5s.
