Recently, I repaired a 40 Long Aqueon (the bottom broke during drilling). I filled it yesterday and will leave it for a week to check for leaks.

One day after filling, I checked on the tank and found a layer of bubbles covering all surfaces.

Can anyone explain what these bubbles are and why they develop?

Thanks,
Dom

Pretty sure that’s normal. They will disappear in a day or two. Or you can wipe them off and they will float to the top and out of the water column.

That's just gas that was dissolved in the water, like CO2 bubbles coming out of a carbonated drink when you pour it.

Thanks... yeah... it is filled with discarded water from my RODI filter. I've seen it before, just wondering where they come from.
