Hi everyone,

I’m sure there is already a thread out there on best parameters but I cannot seem to find any definitive answers, especially when it comes to nutrients.

Please let me know what you are running your tank at and what you consider the ideal parameters.

Here is where I’m at currently.

Salinity : 34.5-35.5 (depending on temperature)
PH: 8.15-8.5 (depending on time of day)
Temp: 77.5-79
Alkalinity: 9.4
Calcium: 512
Magnesium: 1400
Nitrate: 2.3
Phosphate: .14

Running Radion g4 pros on AB+ at 50%
16” above the waterline.

I dose Redsea AB+ Reef Energy daily for the corals.

Running a mainly sps tank. I get good growth but feel like I could be getting more.

Wondering if I could be doing something betters

Here’s my ideal:

Salinity: 35ppt aka 1.026
Temp: 78
Ph: 8.3
Alk: 9 dkh
Calcium: 420
Magnesium: 1380
Phosphates 0.1ppm
Nitrates: 5ppm

I’m not picky with nitrates nor phosphates. All long as they are kept near my target.

I am very happy with this setup. My parameters are pretty spot on to this and it’s working well for me.

I use a Red Sea My Recipe Wizard on there web site and am usually there.

1.026
79-80
8.2
11.5 ( shoot for that, never get there usually 10 )
450
1350
0.1ppm
5ppm

I only check it once a month or so and just hand dose the prescribed amounts. everything is growing like weeds.
