What can I keep with this setup?

you'll be able to keep anything. as long as flow and filtration are up to par.

thanks I was a little worried about the light spread...I was leaning more toward LPS for this tank...I have another 40 breeder that will be for sps and I am using 2 175w for that tank.

1x250w is plenty for SPS, especially if you get a top notch reflector and higher par bulb/ballast combo. If you were to get a Lumenarc stealth mini pendant you'd get good spread on a 3' tank.

this is a pendant style reflector...not sure if it is one of the round reflectors or square...I do know the ballast is an icap...it was part of a trade I did for a 75g setup that never went anywhere.

I think you could keep whatever you wanted but some sps would need to be on center of the light

that is/was...I seen that you where upgrading.... a sweet tank...I hope mine turns out 1/2 that nice...thanks for sharing
