What corals can I keep under Chihirios WRGB II Pro in a 60 cm tank?

Hello Fellow Reefers,

I have a brand new Chihiros light and a 60 cm tank, I did read that I can grow macro alage and it looks great on its own, but I was wondering are there any specific corals that I can keep in my 60 cm tank?

I would say low light definitely when you adjust the spectrum for corals. start with mushrooms, gsp, xenia, candy canes, and other easy corals. you wouldn't be using the full wattage, so your options are limited. i haven't tried growing anything under them, but they are good lights. you could just do macros, and you might have the best light on the market for that.

I use that exact light! Almost all softies did ok for me except utter chaos palys. They do grow algae however

Spectrum for algae is different than coral. That's all I know though lol

from what I understand, marine algaes and plants prefer a lower/warmer color temp than corals, around 5,500k-10,000k. it's all about the depth the organism grows at, shallow water light is whiter, deep light has pretty much everything but blue filtered out.

From my albeit limited research, most coral like the 400-500 nm (uv to blue). The Chihiros does have a good peak at about 460, but not a lot lower than that. maybe stick with lower light ones. I say try something and if it doesn't work out find a way to add blue and uv.
