i have 110$ after i went to my lfs the 1st time. i got a long tentacle anenome (hes doing very well) a zoa colony and a finger leather (apparently they sold me a dead one because when i got the coral, it had flesh missing and its securlite skeleton was dissolving. i sniffed it and almost fainted. i also got a harlequin filefish. unfortunately though, it was caught with cyanide or was shipped incorrectly because it died withing a few hours of adding it to my tank. i acclimated it for a long while and made sure all perams were the same. they said it would eat brine and mysis and i ended up spending alot of money to keep it and they said it would be super healthy. it ate like 1 brine shrimp then started acting stupid and showing all the cyanide symptoms. its the 1st death in my tank and i gave it a proper burial in my yard. what corals would you reccomend getting. i upgraded my light to a relassy 300w led (its more like a 100-150 watt i think) and i got a aqqa 510 gph pump coming in the mail tomoroow.

this tank is using 2 relassy 300w leds. i also got 2 random aquarium blackligthts but i blew one up trying to use the relassy adapter to run it because they are the same plug. i might use it on my 10g.
Well Hello, after been outside of the marine aquarium life, I came back 7 months ago.
This is my 90g, has Chinese light, sump, aquaC skimmer.
I need to change lights, take out socks and put a roller, and a calcium reactor.
I have Sps, LPS and soft corals.

hmmm, I'd say get something something orange, red or purple- that should add some nice contrast and pop to the overall scape.

It's kinda difficult to say if they will flourish in your tank, but letposeris, acans/micromussa lords, gonis, they all have strains and morphs that come in orange and red.

Go to the Tidal Gardens Youtube channel; they do a lot of good coral spotlight videos.

If it died a few hours after it was added to your tank. It’s not cyanide. Sounds like an already sick fish at the store that could not handle transport or something acute happened between you buying and acclimating it.

You should observe fish for normal swimming patterns and have them feed it in front of you. Otherwise don’t buy it. Especially more difficult fish.

Personally I have a soft spot for leather corals. They can be difficult to find in colors other than green though.

If they refuse to feed then you refuse to buy. No reason not to feed unless they have something to hide.
