What do you do each day with your tank?

Feed the tank, and make sure everything is still alive.

Question is:
Each day, I _____________________________ with my tank.

I assure all components running and all fish accounted for as well as temperature on target and all pumps active
Stare, I stare at all the things withing my tank.

I feed and observe.
Observe the livestock, equipment, dosing and top off containers, quick check for leaks, flip over any snails I find sitting upside down.
Yep I try to observe my tank as well everyday to see what might be off!

Each day, I blow bubbles with my tank. ha

Seriously Im mostly hands off unless its necessary. Gotta feed of course.
After reading comments i realize its no wonder most struggle at first. So many hands and or activity in the tank every day.

Feed the clownfish and once every week feed the anemone than I just check in everything if they look like if they are okay and check temperature that’s it

Lately. Morning and night Astrena starfish patrol. One came in on a coral that I missed. I thought I caught them but nope. So past couple weeks I’ve been pulling starfish in hopes (wishful thinking) of getting rid of them as I don’t like all the white pokadots on the rocks where they have eaten the coralline.

At some point I shall resign but for now I’ve been keeping them at bay.

The other thing is re-gluing frags down. It seems my sailfin doesn’t like the powder blue and the powder blue likes to play catch me if you can. It’s quite entertaining to see them doing circles around the pedestal in the center of the tank. I believe the tables are starting to turn as the sailfin is occasionally sporting scars while previously the powder blue was. Guys can’t we just get along and stop knocking the corals down please

Stare at my tank for way too long, feed, carbon dose, add traces, make sure all equipment is working, dose phyto, and flip snails over occasionally

clean the glass + empty skimmer cup (mostly every other day) + feed fish (6 times a day) + refill Phyto (see here) + assess what the urchin kicked over + remove algae from DYI algae scrubber (mostly every other day)

Check on my fish, talk to them, check water temp and check my components to make sure all is good. I also clean the the glass of need be.

Check parameters on fusion, feed and observe. I’m pretty hands off these days. I used to constantly have my hands in the tank and have thankfully outgrown that.

Clean the glass, wonder why all my snails always busy in cleaning only the back glass. Check on the 2 clowns and corals. Shuffle sand if i see trace of an algae. Enjoy the beauty.
