So Dr. Phil doesn't have doctorate in psychology? I thought he was just a psychologist who became famous.

He has his a phD.

My wife has a pharmD.

She doesn't want to be called "Doctor" because she's not a physician. But she is in the healthcare field.

Oh I see, there are doctorates out there who don't wanna be doctors. M.D.'s are doctors.
He made $80 million in 2009, I wonder if he sold his soul. Lol

I work for a company that develops CNC controller software. I do all kinds of different things there. Entertaining job!

Some people with doctorates expect to be called "doctors" which I find arrogant and ridiculous but I don't have a doctorate, only an MBA

I would expect to be called Dr. spending the time and energy spent working for that title. It is earned and rightly so.

My wife did it and she doesn't like to be called doctor because she's not narcissistic.

Some people with MBA put that behind their title. I also find that moronic except in work settings where it's relevant to the clientele perhaps.

My new tag - 3FordFamily,MBA

I think it really depends on the doctorate. Some are much easier and less time consuming to acquire, and in my experience those are the ones who demand the title lol.
