What do you run your ALK at?

Curious to see what people run their ALK at. I typically run it at 10 dKH and had a lot of success with that. However, i met an OG this weekend who runs it at 7.5 and had an awesome looking tank!
7.5 dKh

I run alk between 8.75 - 9dKH, thanks to a CaRx. N&P are on the high side and being addressed. I’m hoping to get SPS growing once nutrients come down to an acceptable range.

Around 9dkh here.

Although my dosing pump malfunctioned the other week and spiked it to around 14 - slowly coming back down now. Everything seems to have handled it fine though.

8.25 but I’ve been considering raising to 9 due to higher nitrate and phosphate

I switch from same to 9 and my corals I feel are happier and growing faster.

I spent a month doing the transition each week. 0.2 incrementsk

My alk consumption rate is around 1.1kdh a day. And when I had it lower there was less wiggle room.

Low 8s is what I’ve shot for. Currently I’m at 7.5.

My ph media was expended after a work trip and I didn’t get to. Coral growth must have slowed, so turned dosing down a bit not realizing my PH media was shot.

Fixed PH, and element consumption rapidly returned faster than I was prepared for. All the corals, save my rainbow Goni are happy - that thing is moody. Slowly hearing back to the low 8s

10.0 +/- 0.2, testing and dosing with AFR and baking soda nightly. Surprised to see I'm an outlier. Maybe I should try toning it down...

Been around 7.4 recently, was as high as 9 back 6 months ago. No actual difference observed…kind of prefer 7.4, but really not sure why maybe closer to NSW level?

Usually run my systems between 8.5-9.5dkh. If I test alk and it's between those numbers I don't change dosing. Alk uptake isn't linear, so dosing the same amount can result in small alk swings within that range.
