Another vote for adding an Apex controller plus other Apex modules. It allow me to travel for two to 6 weeks at a time and still monitor my tank. I just have someone stop in the house once a week to check on things and water the plants and refill the auto feeders when needed. If there were an emergency, I can talk to the "sitter" through the camera and talk he/she through whatever is needed.

I'd like to throw my support behind the Apex/Trident controller too.

I've been enjoying this hobby for 2 years now, and I'm really pleased with how my tank looks, all thanks to the Apex. It's been a fantastic tool for understanding the daily needs of my tank, making it super easy to adjust everything to keep it stable and thriving.

Honestly, if I had to rely on manual testing, I probably wouldn't do it nearly as often. Having access to more data just makes everything so much clearer and easier to manage.
