@LPS Bum @WRB @Auquanut all owe is photos!! Lol :)
Wellll, the wife says the FOWLR tank is 5 years down the road. She says there are other projects that we need to tackle first to keep the house from falling down on our heads. I know she's right, but I think we can speed the process up considerably (I hope she doesn't read this).

I've been flip/flopping on the exact tank that I want. May even go custom. I've been working on devising a modular shared sump that will go behind the wall where both the reef and FOWLR tanks will sit. I even plan to wall off the sump/equipment room from the rest of my shop. It will sure be nice to get all of the craaa - stuff out from under the reef tank. I'm also looking at aquascape ideas and how I can cure some, or even all of my rock to reduce the initial challenges.

This will be an expensive build. It's going to take time and money. I want to do THIS tank right the 1st time. I gotta say though that the planning stage is a lot of fun. Having a "murky future" timeframe for this build gives me the luxury of considering a lot of options. That's why I'm following this thread and the FOWLR forum. Hoping to get ideas from those of you that have successful FOWLR tanks and learn all I can.

Groupers and Hamlets are nice! What’s the smallest ‘other’ fish you dare put in their with them? Nothing Damsel or Basslet size, I bet (?)

Interested in seeing your V-tail pair! How do you pair them anyways? I’m a big fan of mine

I can’t really get a good picture of them. I purchased two small ones that were about 2-3in. They did a little fighting for a few weeks but now hang out together. Ones is a super dark red and the other is light red. I have a video that I will post soon

I'm building a 800g FOWLR Predator Tank. I've been collecting the specimens for a few months and they are in three different tanks waiting to come together in the big display. Would like to know what others think I should include/add on my wish list. More tangs? More Angels?

I have so far...

3 - Banana Morays - 10"-14"
Pair of Crosshatch Triggers - 7"
Linespot Trigger - 5"
2 - Emperor Angels - Adult + Juvi
Niger Trigger - 6" with cool streamers
African Powder Blue - 4"
Blonde Naso - Male 6"
Diamond Goby - Large
Dragon Wrasse - Juvi
2 - Scribbled Angels - 2" - 3"
Majestic Angel - 5"
Picasso Trigger - Juvi
Clown Trigger - Juvi
Gem Tang - 2"

I know it will be a challenge to know what to add first, second and so on. And the Juvi fish will need to hit 3+" so the eels do not eat. :)

Wish List

Various Wrasses
Dog Face Puffer
Golden Heart Trigger
Goldflake Angel

If you have a quarantine system I recommend New York Aquatics. grab a 3-4 inch golden heart for roughly 250. as long as you quarantine his fish are great.
