Is the peppermint angel even real?? Lol never seen one actually in stock anywhere since they are so rare and expensive!
yes! native to the cook islands. But i’ve never seen one for sale either nor do i expect one to go up for sale again anytime soon, if ever. they’re extremely hard to source as you need to dive 200-400ft down to find them if I’m not mistaken.

I know for me, there are a lot of fish I want in my tank but can't due to the size of my tank. I am wondering what are some fish you want in your tank, but due to some reason you can't have them in your tank? Curious to see what everyone says!

Porcupine Puffer

Too big, not reef safe, but such a great fish.

It’s not the prettiest but I had a ora filefish and lived a life aiptasia free for a few years. Unfortunately I also had to be torch and hammer free and I missed them a lot. My tank isn’t complete without euphyllia!

Puffer and lion fish... the funning thing is I got into this hobby to get those only to get too far down the line and realize I setup my tank otherwise. LOL

Garden eels. I once saw a tank with a bunch of them in it and it was really cool to see them sticking out of the sand.

Sohal Tang if we’re talking reef safe. Puffer for sure for reef unsafe. Oh, wait! Scratch the Sohal - bye my sweet love - but I’ll take the Achilles Tang, too!

Flame fairy wrasse. Thanks hawaii.
Any leopard wrasse, love them. Wont risk them. If i see one locally whos healthy, I'll grab it. But not bothering.

Wrasses have coined a term years ago that I don't hear often anymore "rent a wrasse." They just go through so many issues. So getting them and keeping them long term. Congradulations to those who have kept their prize wrasses for half a decade.

Oh boy , I’d have a freaking list haha.

Harlequin Tuskfish
Picasso and clown trigger
Dragon wrasse
Dwarf and large angelfish
Box fish

Can’t risk any of these guys in a reef. Sucks :(

Roseband fairy wrasse. The last fish on my “bucket list,” but unfortunately they are just too big and mean for my current cast of peaceful creatures.
