Is there a particular fish that is expensive but is worth owning?

Lunula Trigger. Really interesting fish. Not aggressive. He is in 350 fish only. Swims everywhere in all directions. He is developing unique elongated shape.

I am cheap. So these are the more expensive of my fishes that I consider well worth the price. There are a lot of cheap fish that I love also.

Where did you get your Court Jester (Rainford's) goby? I love them, have trouble finding/keeping them.

My local guy got him in. He had been sitting for a while after quarantine and was getting real skinny. Gave me a deal on him. He eats hair algae all day long in my tank. Just pulls little strands off one at a time. He has a bigger belly and his waste looks fine but he hasn’t shown any growth other than thicker across his back. Got him the week before thanksgiving last year.

Cool little fish. Always out and about. Not even the mean ole possum messes with him.
I have some algae he could eat. I have a nice, outgoing Hector's. I also have a miracle MacNeill's assessor. I have to order fish as I don't have a lfs. His bag leaked and he was living in about a tablespoon of water. I isolated him for awhile; when I knew he would live, let him loose. Next thing I know, I can't find him. I needed to empty the skimmer and found him on the filter material under the water flow. I think he floated in through the intake vents. I tossed him back into the aquarium and now he is Mr. Personality.

I’ve also wanted a marine betta - but with how they hide in the rocks all the time I haven’t pulled the trigger. Also, my display is only 75 gallons and with the Tang, Solar Wrasse and One Spot Foxface - not sure I can get another “larger” fish in there.
My comet was hiding during the first time after being introduced to the tank. Now he has his favorite spot at the back of the tank, and stays there most of the time. Very beautiful fish.
As for the thread subject - the most expensive fish I have is a gem tang, and I love her. Next in my wish list is an achilles tang, however they are very delicate and susceptible to ich. Over the years, I had kept a tuskfish - very beautiful initially, but the colors would fade away as she grew bigger... My other favorite is a regal angel, but I am having bad luck with them - I wish I could get hold of captive bred one...

My sunburst didn’t last long never figured it out

My watanabei was 200 at a LFS a decade ago. I don’t remember what happened. But she loved many years and was a good citizen. I love the blue color

Yours is a male with the stripes. Mine is solid blue on her body.
