I want a Blue face angel and I will have one some day. I just cant find one.
The barreleye is such a cool little fish. Amazing adaptation. Eyes inside the transparent head. Great choice. :0)What I would love to have is this
Try captive bred. Mine eats pellets and frozen mysis now.My two wishes: either a Mandarin (tank is too small) or a dwarf angel (don't trust them around my LPS).
One more to add:I have many:
- Chaots leopard wrasse,
- Madagascan flasher wrasse,
- Diamond tail flasher wrasse,
- Johnson’s fairy wrasse,
- Pakoko leopard wrasse,
- Lennardi wrasse
- Femininus wrasse.
- Polynesian gold flake wrasse,
- Inimicus filamentosus,
- Achilles tang,
- Gold rim tang (4’ tanks really are annoying when you’re one foot off from getting a tang you love),
- Scribbled Angel pair,
- Clarion angelfish,
- Peppermint angelfish,
- Griessingeri goby,
- Golden dwarf moray eel,
- Siphonophore,
- and my favourite,
Whatever this is:
Essentially I would love a true deep water tank (Flashlight fish ect..) or a chambered nautilus tank.
I have only just found out about this fish existing, it looks so calming for some reason, it’s a chimaeraOne more to add:
- Tongan Black Foxface
Forgot to edit this however, the image shown is of a telescopefish/Gigantura indica however, I would also love to own the other species of that genus: Gigantura chuniI have many:

I found out there’s actually a VERY pretty wrasse (I knew it existed but didn’t know it was this close to home) The cuckoo wrasse, Labrus mixtus. It’s one of the three wrasse species found around the UK, if it was possible I would try keep one in captivity however I know they get big so it’d be Atleast a 300g tank and a cold water one, although it would open up to many cold water options.I have many:

I collected this little 1/2" guy in the Atlantic. After a year or two he got to big and I gave him to the New York Aquarium.Porcupine puffer. Need a FOWLR and a decent sized one. Eventually it will happen. I’ve seen little baby ones in grass flats off southern FL. I’d love to catch one and raise it up.
Ah, yes! Gigantura, the Telescopefish! Don’t we all love the way it stares into our souls ?!Whatever this is:
Yes, I find it very interesting - Both to read about and see in photos.Ah, yes! Gigantura, the Telescopefish! Don’t we all love the way it stares into our souls ?!
You might want to consider moving the orange spotted filefish to the realistic list. A lot more people are having success due to newer foods like Masstick and Panta Rhei Polyp. I have 6, 3 for over a year.I have several.
Realistic- blonde naso, regal angel, porcupine puffer, indigo hamlet
Bit of a dream - golden dwarf moray, Japanese dragon moray, orange spot filefish.
realistic overall dream: one day having a tank large enough for multiple anthias, a handful of tangs, an eel, and many, many corals

I have them in a 150 with virtually no sps coral. I tried keeping some sps……but I killed it. They actually do great without coral in their diet. Mine all have full bellies nearly all the time. You do need to feed them frequently. I have an auto feeder that spits out pellets 4X a day, I give them Masstick in the morning and feed frozen 1-2 times per day.yeah you’re probably right. As of now though, it’s not super realistic. I’m building my first ever reef (120g). I’ve got the go ahead for a dream tank years from now (thinking an 8x3x24). When I get there I feel like the orange spot would be more realistic. If only because I think at that point it would be the right balance of corals and ecosystem vs their need to eat the mucus.
out of cusiosity, what size tank are your beauties in? I swear I’ve read your threads about them but I can’t remember much about your tank other than it’s gorgeous
