I’ve got two clowns in the 55 gallon and a yellow spotted goby halfway through TTM/Prazi/Metroplex/Kanaplex. Also in the tank are various snails, shrimp, a couple emerald crab, and a chocolate chip starfish.

What fish would you add next? I really want something blue or purple (trying to cover the rainbow and the levels of my tank!) I hear mixed reviews on blue green chromis, blue reef chromis, dottybacks, grammas, etc...

I want to add a blenny after this next fish, I didn’t want to add two bottom dwellers in a row

It really just depends on what appeals to you. If it were me I would get a black cap basslet. Beautiful rich purple with a contrasting black cap. Mine is one of my favorite fish which is saying something since I'm a wrasse fanatic. I'll see if I have a picture of mine

Regal blue tang, Dory, my kids love them
Cardinals are easy going, and come in different colors

I like many of the suggestions above and will add Springeri Damsels. I have a trio in my tank. They are small... not aggressive at all. They are a beautiful dark iridescent blue. If you have a lot of rockwork .... they will dart in and out as they can be fairly timid. I also hear they are good at eating some pests like flatworms... which I had at one time... but not since they were added... But never confirmed them eating them.

Why not Springeri Damsel with Black Cap Basslet next? I would also recommend some wrasse?

I'm just repeating what others said -- wrasse or basslet. Varieties of firefish are also really pretty.
