I recently ordered from Dr. Reef for a starry blenny and orange striped prawn goby. Both arrived in good health and are quite large but I’m pretty sure the goby isn’t an orange stripe or randall’s shrimp goby.

this does not look like a randall’s goby at all and im not really sure what it is. I do kind of like it though and its eating perfectly well but i ask because im not sure if it had different requirements from an orange stripe prawn goby. will it pair up with the tiger pistol shrimp I have? Will it be aggressive to others? Im really not sure what kind this is or if i should be concerned.

Amblyeleotris latifasciata maybe?

Still a shrimp goby so care should be similar.

Interesting. So it's around the same thing then I guess? Will it pair up with a tiger pistol shrimp?

+1 to this, it definitely shows the main characteristics of this species.
I can’t figure out how it got confused with a Randall’s Goby though as they don’t look even remotely close to that pattern wise.

Yeah I got written back by Dr. Reef and he confirmed it's a wide bar. I actually kind of like it and as long as it'll pair with a tiger pistol shrimp that's fine.
