What happened to the Maxima Clam stock?

Seems like something happened to the stock of aquacultured Maxima clams in the past few months. Pacific East Aquaculture's site went from fully stocked to sold out over night back in late December or so if I recall. Also, Divers Den has had next to no Maximas for the past month or two now.

What's going on?

I've been wondering the same. Check the web almost daily.

I finally found a few 3" at a LFS and scooped them up.

Yeah it seems like only place that has them is liveaquaria or diver's den, and after what I've read on these forums I won't order from them.

Aquarium pic is right after I put them in after acclimation. Ill get some tonight.

But that's the thing. Divers Den and LA is and has been 100% sold out for nearly 2 months now. Same with PEA whose stock was 100% gone over night. Either someone bought the entire stock over night, or something else is going on.... maybe a bout of pests or disease?

Saltwater fish has some in stock. Just came in this week I assume. Didn’t see them on the site last week. No smalls. 4 and 5 inchers.
