What heater?

What heaters does everyone use? Any one or brand you would suggest? I had a little heater issue last night and I am lucky with what happened. could have been a lot worse!

I've used Ebo Jager heaters for years. I have never tried another brand.

I also use Ebo Jager heaters. I do however have it controlled by a Profilux controller, just in case of malfunction.

I have had good luck with Finnex heaters.

I've always used Ebo-Jager (Eheim) and Stealth heaters... I would always recommend connecting to a secondary controller (Ranco, or full controller) as hobby heaters stink and sometimes fail stuck ON.

i've used all visi-therms for as long as I can remember. but whatever you choose, put them on a ranco.

I currently have 2 Stealth, 2 Visi-therm, 1 Hydor and 1 Won heaters on tanks. I previously had a Finnex that has since quit working after a couple of years. I've used 1 Ebo-Jaeger, which I now use only with its top above water because it kept tripping the GFI. I've also had Stealth and Visitherm heaters quit after a couple of years or so, but they were quite a bit less than the Finnex.
I know there is 1 more brand that I am using- a common one at pet stores, but I can't think of the brand name. It too has been quite reliable, at least in terms of not dieing. Since my heaters are on an AC I haven't worried about a "stuck thermostat".

yeah I am going to throw the heaters on the AC. I am lucky I had a heater stick on and then I had another malfunction. That is another story I would rather not get into!

I won't use anything else from now on. Bad luck with a bunch of others.
