I’ve had my clown for a little over a year now and have tried lots to get him to host a bta but he’s refused to ever show interest. In my previous tank I had a huge bta that he totally ignored so I gave up hope, then my anemone decided to stroll through a powerhead. Once I set up my new tank 8 months ago I moved everything over and things seemed to be going pretty good. After my last bta did what he did lol I wasn’t sure I ever wanted to mess with getting another. However, about 1 1/2 months ago I seen one at my lfs a decided against my better judgement to get one knowing that my clown has no interest, and they tend to love wreaking havoc in your tank till they get settled. And even then they still can get stressed for whatever reason and decide to jump through your powerhead and mess your tank up. Anyways once again my clown showed no interest which I expected but the bta looked great and was doing good. Then it happened 1 1/2 weeks ago I noticed him swimming around the bta not necessarily inside it but brushing the arms and swimming all around it. And now he stays in and around it unless he’s feeding or bored so I’m considering it as hosting. I’m glad it finally happened after I gave up hope. The only downside is my bta made his home kinda towards the back of the tank but a win is a win.

Congratulations! It's always hit and miss with BTA's as they are not a natural host for clowns. Glad your clown finally chose to allow the BTA to host him.
Yeah I was just shocked because I just assumed it wasn’t meant to be because he never even remotely showed any interest then bam he’s all over the bta.

Well that’s close enough lol. I would have been ok with that too but don’t know if my Duncan would feel the same

The duncan doesn't seem to mind. It's only been a couple months though.

Yeah they definitely both seem happy together. That’s a cool looking clown love the markings on it.

Thanks! She's developing more spots as she ages and really looking super cool. I'm heading back the breeder I got her from in a couple weeks to pick her mate:)

Are you going to get another black ice snowflake? Mine kinda looks like yours but with a little less markings. Mine actually had a little teal blue in the white but that went away the older it’s gotten.

That's actually a Buckshot clown from Booyah's Clowns. I'm going to get another Buckshot to go with the one in my 40 breeder. I'm also hoping he has a pair of Blackhawk Picasso's for my 29 gallon.

Edit:
Booyah's Reef.

I’ll have to check them out cause like I said I love the markings on yours and my clown needs a partner as well.
