What Inverts do you keep in your sump?

I recently had to deport a rock hermit crab from my display into my sump due to it getting a bit peckish with my snails and it got me thinking..

What critters do you keep in your sump?

Most people keep sponges and certain snails such as vermitid snails, maybe some asterinas. Sort of a safer place for your small inverts to breed etc.

I don't keep any in my sump.

I had a spikey urchin in the sump once, and he somehow made it to the inlet of my return pump.

What ever shows up. Currently aiptasia, asterinas, worms, pods and a lot of sponge in my cryptic fuge. Worms pods, asterinas and aiptasia in my other sump.

I believe you can get guards to put over the inlet to stop this from happening

I’ve had all number of critters living in sumps… more often than not; a plethora of filter feeders… I did once have a dragonet decide to work it’s way from the DT into the sump via overflow plumbing!

Oh, a good week or so! — I caught movement out of the corner of my eye among the mountain of rock in the sump… she was fatter than ever!!
