Looking to replace my long nose hawkfish that was not a model citizen. What are some fish that can go in an 80g that have fun personalities and/or look really good?

A nice sized lawnmower blenny tons of personality will perch up on rock and rotate their eyes up and down to stare at you 😆

Out with the Longnose Hawk... in with the Flame Hawk?
Trying to stay away from hawks now, the long nose attacked my yellow watchman which is why he’s out

Flame Hawk or maybe some type of blenny.
I have a Midas blenny, he’s super shy. What other blennies would be compatible?

I have a tailspot with my Midas. Surprised to hear yours is shy. I think the larger algae blennies and other long bodied blennies (like canary or fang blennies) would be where you run into compatibility issues. I would think a tailspot or bicolor would be fine, plus they stay pretty small.

Pintail wrasse.
Already bought one ;) Pintail wrasse will be here tomorrow, along with a royal fairy. Looking for one more fish to add to replace the hawk.

He’s been in the same QT with the hawkfish, I’m wondering if the hawk bullied him too. I moved him to the display today so we’ll see how he is after being in the DT a while

My pintail I absolutely loved until it carpet surfed. Chilled by my hand day in and day out when I was in the tank. Pretty sure I coulda picked it up without even trying.

Bummer that you lost him. But that’s awesome he would do that. I have a top lid I had made so there’s no space to jump hopefully lol

Spiny Burrfish.

I collected this little half inch guy in the Atlantic and in a year, he grew 5" so I gave him to the New York Aquarium.
