Just researching the coral quarantine tank and thinking about the dipping schedule.

I am looking at a fallow fishless, quarantine period of 76 days to rid the corals of the possibility of cysts hatching and infecting the fish in the display tank. Within that 76 days, how often, and with what dips is the best schedule to try and break the life cycle of the most common of coral pests.

May seem OTT to some but once you have had a pest.......

Is there a particular pest that you are trying to eradicate? I want to say the most frequent dip schedule that I have heard or was twice a week when dealing with AEFW.

Nope nothing specific, it's for preventative maintenance with new corals. The current schedule is re-frag plug the coral, Bayer dip, quarantine, 76 days later a final Bayer dip and if all is well, add to the display. If during the quarantine period anything is seen then dip again at that stage.

That's just my take on it and the dip I use. Just wondering if there was a more scientific method.
