Probably getting ready to shed. It should resolve in a few days, if it does not give it more flow and check water chemistry.
 
Depends on what you mean by "what is my toadstool doing?" But as others have said, it may be in the process of shedding. When they do that, they keep their polyps in for a few days, and you will notice a very nice shine over the coral, then clear layers will peel off the top and the polyps will come out.
