What is on this tangs chest?

Is it just from maybe fighting with a tank mate or is it something worrisome? In a QT tank with two anthias.

That does look like an injury, but I would not expect the anthias to have caused that. Could it have gotten scared and run into something in the tank? Is the fish still eating?

It is possible it got scared, the only items in the tank are the pvc fittings, heater, and hob filters. Could have been the pvc maybe?

Could be the PVC pipe, I always sand down any sawn or cut edges.
Is the fish eating though?
