To run in a reactor?

I got an 18" reactor from avast, and was considering bio pellets.

My goal is to control phosphates and nitrates in a highly stocked tank with large fish to the extent where I can grow corals, and maintain color.

I am running EcoBak. Love them. I have never had any issues like cyano or anything with them. I have been running them for almost 7 months.

I run EcoBak as well and have had good success. Been up and running for about 6 months. I've also read that some people have had nothing but bad luck with these pellets as well. I don't know if it was user error or a water chemistry issue.

I have heard some bad things about bio-pellets.

From clouding the water, to causing cyano, even the fact that it might technically be a controlled form of carbon dosing. I definitely dont want to be using a product that is at the digression of a bacteria and not myself.

That being said, solid carbon dosing is one of the options on the table. I would love to hear about peoples experiences with them in more detail, or any other options I might have that would suit my needs for phosphate and nitrate control.

Oh and has anyone heard of or used the phosballs? Certain kind of bio-pellet that apparently has no clouding or cyano issues.

Its also fairly cheap, but I think they have to ship from Poland, so we will see what that runs me if I decide to go that route.
