What's the name of the species
This was my Hoplolatilus chlupatyi. The Flashing Tilefish - they deserve their name a lot.
This guy would go from a stunning blue to a vibrant yellow within half a second. You could see the colour change before your eyes and I have a few photos of him changing colour. In fact that photo above was taken whilst he was 3/4 done changing from pale blue to a vibrant turquoise and then after that photo he began to change from that 3/4 turquoise to a vibrant red.
Here’s a few more photos. That first photo was his resting colour, nothing was done to this photo it was purely the sunlight from the window.
The second was him changing colours from that blue to a yellow instead of a beautiful turquoise.

I’ve been doing a write up in my experience with this fish however if people aren’t overly interested I may not.

I've wondered why tilefish aren't more common in the hobby? I see them for sale very rarely and oftentimes it seems they were special orders for customers (aka not for sale to walk-ins).

The price tag on this one certainly caught my eye.

Quoyi parrotfish

I would try them but I heard they aren’t the safest in a reef. And they’re really large.

My Quoyi was perfectly reef safe. They don't get nearly as large as most parrot fish. The problem with them is they often don't thrive beyond a year or so in a reef tank.

What the fish with the large white spots or patches ?
Juvenile Coris gaimard also known as the red coris or yellowtail wrasse. Arguably gets even more pretty as an adult. Hope mine looks like this someday:

Warning. They're definitely at least a reef safe with caution fish. They will eat small inverts and will flip rocks. This ones in my FOWLR for a reason.
