Great discussion! I think most aquarists probably range between 8-9 dkh

I target 8.8 dKH.

My CaRx computer starts to lower the feed pump's duty cycle at 8.7 dKH, by 8.8 it is at 50% on 50% off, and by 8.9 it is at 100% off. If the alk hits 9.0, my CaRx gets shutdown completely (in case of software bugs).

Stability is probably the most important... but I try for 8.5 myself.

I used to keep mine around 11-12, but now I keep it at 8-9 for no reason other than I under dosed for a little and didn't care to bring it back up. I also test a lot less frequently so I like a more middle of the road number.

7.3 dHK for me dosing All For Reef, been trying to raise it slowly but seems stubborn at just over 7.
Corals are happy so I'm happy.

Not that I want to, but the salt i use keeps my dkh levels pretty high.. Mine sits at around 11dkh and no problems, rather all of my corals are FLOURISHING. So im happy.
