What is this acro?

Picked this up at a frag swap last week and I forget what the guy called it.

I’m trying easy acropora for the first time. Got a green slimer frag too which has good polyp extension. I don’t see any polyps on this frag though.

An identification would be a guess, and you're not helped with a guess...
What I can say is that there seem to be a lot of suspicious white specks on the coral, I would check if these specks are moving, indicating bugs (white bugs or coral eating copepods), which would explain the lack of polyp extension.
Is there any polyp expansion at night?

btw I've had this problem myself, causing me to lose a few frags before treating the tank with Milbemax, haven't seen them since.

It's not in the best condition. If I had to guess Valdia Acropora, one of the more forgiving Acropora.

make sure it's the Bioadvance with the same formula as the OLD BAYER, if not, you're gonna cause that frag to peel. also, things should be dipped BEFORE going into your tank

That’s what I ordered.

I rinse new frags in Revive.

Did a 10 minute dip in BioAdvance at 10:500 concentration. There were a handful of tiny dark specks in the “milk.” I put one under a low powered scope and it was red, although I couldn’t make out any kind of organism.

So, any update on how this one turned out? In the the right conditions, which I’m sure you have, any brown acro frag can turn into a very colorful coral
