What is this algae??

nobody has been able to tell me what it is. Seemed to happen after feeding reef roids. All leaves are normal. Tank is currently fallow. T5s running 5hrs reefbrite led bar running 12hrs. Also seemed the bloom happened after new bulbs were installed 3 coral plus 3 blue plus. Maybe too much white light?

a closer photo would help, but it does look like it may be ulva/sea lettuce. it can hitchhike in on ocean live rock. it is very fast growing, but generally not harmful aside from crowding other inhabitants. Tangs generally love to eat it. Manual removal will be needed to get growth like that under control.

Ok wow thanks ya I’ve talked to a lot of people
And they had no idea what it is. I’ve been scraping it off my overflows and letting it settle then vacuuming it out with weekly water changes. My tank is fallow at the moment so I have been feeding coral once a week. I also changed my t5 bulbs with 3 coral plus and 3 blue plus. Thinking all this is playing a roll in how bad it’s gotten. I’m thinking to much white light maybe. I only have an emerald crab and about a dozen snails for a clean up crew at the moment. I’ll start manually removing from the rock with next water change. It actually is kind of hard to remove from rock from the Little Rock I’ve tried already.
