Hello everyone, noticed my pyramid butterfly's eye seems to have something on it. The other eye is ear. The fish is very active and eats like a pig. The fish dosent seem to be uncomfortable or bothered. Can anyone e shed some light as to what this is?

Hi there. Looking at the picture it looks like it could be flukes. To eliminate flukes from diagnosis I suggest conducting a fresh water dip.

Here is what you need:
- RODI water that is same temperature and PH as your aquarium
- Air stone for water circulation
- amquel or prime to help reduce ammonia build up
- allow for 5-7 minutes in the FWD depending on the health of your fish.

Process of elimination, if you see sesame seed looking pieces fall your fish you will need to QT fish for with Prazipro and let your DT run fallow (fish less) for 4 weeks.

If you don't currently have a QT running you will need the following:
- 20 gallon tank (or large plastic bin)
- heater
- air pump/airstone or HOB filter (I recommend both as you will need more aggressive flow when using meds)
- ammonia badge (feed lightly to keep ammonia levels in check)
- bottle of Biospira or tims one and only nitrifying bacteria
- conduct 30-50% water changes daily or every other day based on ammonia readings)

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
