What is this anemone?

Hi all, this was sold to me as a sand anemone but someone has suggested it maybe a BTA… can people please advise- also it’s been about a month and doesn’t really attach to sand…. Should I try rock?

I think it's just finding its happy place. All anemones move, so this behavior is normal. You can play around with the lighting or the flow to see what makes it happy and stops moving.

Again, all anemones move to find where it is happy in the tank. That makes them interesting to have.

Sorry if I’m spamming questions at you🤣 so I shouldn’t be concerned about it being on its side like the last picture after 1 month?

Not at all, if the polyps are extended and it does not appear to be melting, it's fine.

Anemones (as most have said) are moody creatures. They are like the cats of the aquarium. They'll do what they do. And you have no control over it.

I'd only be concerned if the polyps are disappearing, bleaching or does not recover when it is upset. For example, my Chicago was upset this morning and appeared to be melting, then it was fine later after lunch.

For the way it wants to be on it's side on the pic, try to see if it's flow that's causing it and correct that. At least that's what it appears to me.
