Anemone is not happy at all

I got this seabay anemone four days ago now, and it kept tumbling around the tank and ending up upside down in the sand, so I had to reposition him on the rock once reposition in this final spot it hasn't moved again, but is not open like previously either. Not sure what else I should change, i've messed with flow trying to get it not too strong as to be throwing it around but enough to where it is getting random movement. I will attach my lighting set up as well as a a few pics showing the wavemaker positioning any tips are greatly appreciated (white light pictures are from last night, first blue light picture of anemone de-inflated is this morning, and last blue light is when i first re positioned it in that crevace 24 hours ago)

Tank looks fairly new. It isn't impossible to keep a nem in a young tank but they usually do better in older tanks. I've not kept a seabae but from researching I think they can be a bit more difficult than say bubble tips or LT nems. I would just leave it be and hopefully it will settle into a spot. Keep an eye on your powerheads so it doesn't find it's way into one will it's moving around.

Tank looks fairly new. It isn't impossible to keep a nem in a young tank but they usually do better in older tanks. I've not kept a seabae but from researching I think they can be a bit more difficult than say bubble tips or LT nems. I would just leave it be and hopefully it will settle into a spot. Keep an eye on your powerheads so it doesn't find it's way into one will it's moving around.

29 gal tank is actually 5 months old just doesnt have a heavy bio load, it is connected to a larger system with another 39 gallon cube and a 10 gallon sump

It may surprise you but 5 months is still very young for a reef tank. Did you start with any mature live rock? In either case, the water parameters are the most important info we need. Also, this glass cleaner is not reef safe despite being ammonia free, just so you’re aware. Any amount of it in your water can cause issues.

salinity is a tad low at 1.024
ph is 8
Alk is 125 ppm
nitrate is 10-15
phos is 0.25

also worth noting my rock flowers in the second tank are doing great same water same lighting just different flow

The parameters are fine if accurate, so that leaves flow, light and contaminants. If your other corals are happy probably no contaminants. Is it possible your lighting is too strong? Your rock flowers do appear to be hiding from the light a bit. If you happen to have PAR readings or at least light fixture info, that could help.

You can keep your outside aquarium glass clean by just wiping it down with a paper towel or microfiber towel. If you want a glass cleaner for some reason the best on the market is the Tunze glass cleaner. I have used the Fritz and over time it builds up a thin residue. That residue is easily removed with some laborious scrubbing with a cloth. No such issue with the Tunze.

i haven’t done a reading with a par meter, i just went off of BRS testing videos with the ai prime 16hds, i copied their settings and actually dialed them back compared to what was in the video. Any good recommendations where i could get one? These are the settings i have on both ai primes as i have 1 per tank, and they both sit about 10 inches above the water

Just some update pics anemone looked upside down to me so i gambled and flipped him over sure enough i was right. It looked like a clam for a bit all closed up, then slowly opened looking like it was smoking a bit ( releasing mucus i assume), then i snapped the pic of the mouth wide open, before it closed back up. positive, negative, i have no clue

Sebae anemones are a difficult nem to keep, a bubble tip would be a better choice.

I use the Apogee 420 par meter, I like that you can just plug it into your laptop with USB and don’t need anything additional. It’s also very affordable relative to other quality meters.

However, it looks like the 420 model that is used for aquarium PAR measurement has been phased out, the 520 model is now what is comparable:

Just use regular vinegar mixed 50/50 with water. Safe and cheap
