Does it move? Could be a zoanthid eating Nudibranch. If it doesn’t move, could be an aptasia. I would remove the frag until you identify it.

Photo under whiter light will help ID
I’m thinking aptasia. Should I just remove the frag it was a 50 dollar frag but I don’t want an aptasia problem already in a new tank

Cover the aptasia with coral glue, just make sure you cover all of it.
Regular superglue gel is fine but a tiny frag like that with two aiptasia on it, id QT it after treatment or just throw it away. I'd be ticked to get two aiptasia on one little frag for $50.

Got it, may have sacrificed a polyp or two with the clove polyps but we shall see how they do... pretty annoyed for just being my tester coral for the new tank

Super glue , or even mix up a kalk paste and cover the mouth area .
I’d second guessing buying frags from there next time .
Agreed, it’s unfortunate because it’s a LFS that has great selection and the owners are extremely cool and nice. I’m not even sure they know there’s red planaria in one of their main frag tanks.

You need to let them know so they can take action.
I did but it was only an employee there at the time not the owner, and he kind of brushed it off and he replied “well that’s why you dip” and he said they have a springers damsel in the display. So I’m gonna let the actual owner know not one of his employees maybe he’ll have a better response.

I’ve bought 2 of the springeri damsels to eat flatworms but they don’t bother with them .

Dips won’t address Aptasia...

No need to notify them unless you are trying to get a refund or something, they know what pests they have.
