My contractor had to use the sink where my rodi system is set up. 20260330_115927.jpg

This part had been broken and is leaking, and I need to replace it. What is it called so I can buy a replacement part?

Is it obviously broken or just leaking? If it's just leaking, it can be the tubing or the way the tubing was inserted.

Just leaking. 20260330_115927.jpg
The part holding the tube (circled) wont push all the way back in. On the underside, the gap is wider. I dont have a photo at the moment.

If you remove the tube, you can look inside the fitting to see if the circled retaining ring’s plastic body is broken; this determines if it needs replacement! (It’s a fairly inexpensive fitting, too!)

As seen here:

That part pushes in to remove the tube. If it's leaking try pushing the tube in more, it may not be seated all the way in the fitting.

Don't by the lowes garbage. Buy original John Guest brand, they are 100x more reliable.
Agreed!

G.A. Murdock is another excellent choice for this fitting!

It has been my experience that the collar sometimes doesn't snap back after inserting the tube.

I insert a flat head screwdriver into the slot and pull it toward the tubing.

They make small locking clips that both pull the collar out and ensure that it can't be pressed back in. My suggestion is to use those.

As others noted, it's probably just not inserted all the way....there are multiple "sticking points" that can make it feel seated before it really is.

If the end of the tubing that goes in the fitting looks "rough" or "haggard" then trim it off so there's a brand new end with a nice square cut going into the fitting.
