With the siphon of the hose you really don’t need to scape it, it should just come off.
I will give it a try
Is this something that needs to be delt with immediately because as I said I am sick and don't have much energy and I don't think that I should put my hands on the tank

Bacteria or cyano. Do not disturb piece. Try a turkey baster and gently blow at it. If substance breaks up/loosens and dispenses away, you are set. If not, may require gentle teasing away with a soft toothbrush

Wouldn't it just land somewhere else and start growing again? I can point it toward the filter input but this rock is in the middle of the tank. :/

Forgot to mention, when you blast away with baster, catch loosened particles with a fish net

In my experience, siphoning cyanobacteria allows to break free and pollute the water column. I've used chemiclean with great success. It is reef safe and with a big water change after 48 hours, beautiful, clean water and sand.
