Or macro algae … Does it retract?Hidden sea cucumber?
Yes, it retracts. I’ve had the polyp for a couple of weeks and this tentacle showed up about a week ago, has been growing ever since.Or macro algae … Does it retract?
Doesn’t look like gulf LR, did it come on the frag?

Stupid question time. A GSP on top of a sea cucumber, or the whole thing is a sea cucumber?Sea cucumber
GSP on top, not the whole thing.Stupid question time. A GSP on top of a sea cucumber, or the whole thing is a sea cucumber?
So I've Googled and couldn't see any obvious articles that talked about what's going on here. Do polyps and sea cucumbers have some kind of symbiotic or other kind of relationship? Or is the polyp just being a pest?Wow thats super cool! wish my gsp came with an awesome freebie like that...
Some sea cucmbers like to pick spots (typically in rocks) to park and eat - in this case, the cuke just so happened to pick a spot in/under your GSP frag there. So, no actual relationship between them, the cuke just happened to end up in the GSP.So I've Googled and couldn't see any obvious articles that talked about what's going on here.
