What is this thing?

Hi Everybody,

This little guy randomly appeared in the last 48 hours. I thought it was a zoa at first, but it clearly isn't, then I thought a small fungia baby, but the body seems completely soft and it is attached to the plastic. So, really, it is probably some sort of anemone, any ideas? Good or bad?

Looks like a very pretty majano anemone to me.

Can spread quickly so most consider a pest.

I think most people remove them manually. They are not like glass anemones. And dont break apart. A good sharp xacto knife usually suffices. Similar to removing a zoa(except no palytoxin to worry about)

+1 Majano. Lovely to look at but you don’t really want it in your tank.

Def a Majano and remove it quickly before it spreads over your zoas and corals!

That's a really pretty one. You might see if anyone with a pest tank would want it.
