Came home after work to no power and noticed this worm looking thing attached to the coral it appears, what is it? They seem so ticked off right now. Thanks for the help

Is it okay to be there ? Like attached to the coral like that? Doesn't seem to affect them before but this is the first time I noticed it since I never see them closed like thatIt looks like the tube of a fan worm.
Thank you, if it doesn't need to be removed I won't just didn't know what it was or if it was badI'm assuming since you haven't seen the worm's fan extended, that it may be deceased. If you feel weird about it, dip the coral in something like coralRX and pluck him off with a pinpoint tweezer. My Palys don't seem to be bothered by the little fan worms beside them. And recently I've had one similar to that move from the frag over to the rock foundation.
Thank youHere's a nifty little page I've found. http://www.lionfishlair.com/hitchhiker.shtml so let's all give a thanks to lionfishlair!
