I have a clown fish that has white flakes on his skin. I do not think it is ick but could be wrong. Fish has been in tank for 2.5 years now & all other fish/corals are doing well. The pictures are bad but the best I could do. Any help would be appreciated.

Looks like it could be Brooklynella. Look that up and see if it matches. Good Luck!

Looks like the same thing my clown had... If hes breathing fast too it may be beooklynella like slice stated. I did a couple freshwater dips to my clown.

Thanks for the replies this does not look like Brooklynella though. It almost looks like the fish is pealing a layer of skin. A member on RC replied suggesting the clown got stung by the nem & gave a picture for comparing. The picture looked exactly like my fish. For some reason this fish probably got stung but now looks a lot better today, in fact it looks normal with no white flaky stuff.
