I have a candy cane coral and I noticed it had these spots. What are they and is it bad.

Candy cane or trumpet coral. Caulastraea sp.

edit: sorry, thought you were looking for an ID on the coral. Those looks like vermetid snails. Can irritate corals, best to remove them, search ‘vermetid removal’ for the various methods.

Could be eggs???? I’d scrape them off the skeleton.

Maybe try a dip but most eggs are not affected by dipping

You have a cluster of spirorbid worms, which are the white things, and then you have vermitid snails as well, which are the brown tubes. The spirorbid worms are harmless, but the vermitid snails definitely need to be removed. They produce a mucus that can cover and irritate coral, and they can reach plague proportions if given the chance. I would break them off, and then put a dab of super glue over the area where they were.
