I have the Goldilocks tank....not too big and not too small, but just right. A custom five foot 90 gallon. I'm not a photographer, but here it is:

Love the custom design of it!!

Your tank is very beautiful! I dig your style more than most on here!

Thank you for the kind words and I like the looks of your tank as well. I love a display with mature colonies and you have some beauties. Tanks with mature colonies look more natural which is what I strive for. Good luck with your future 4' build.

120 is definitely the sweet spot for me. I do like the dimensions on a 75 as well. Not too much height, but enough depth to create a convincing scape that partially fades into the background.

One aspect I love about the hobby is the variety of shapes and sizes a tank can come in. I am wondering what is the current size of your tank, and are you happy with that size or would you want to go bigger or smaller.
I have a Proclear ProStar 60 very happy but would really like to get the Proclear 150

I’m a fan of 100gallon+ tanks. I like to have as much real estate for corals as possible! That said, I’ve seen some awesome tanks in all sorts of sizes. And some nano tanks definitely are gorgeous!

I’ve had 3 tanks (reef at least) since I started late 2021. 16 gal cube, 30 gal IM AIO and now since last June the SR60. I like the compromise between small and large tank feel I get with it.

Lovely looking tank. I remember seeing your Goni collection in a previous post, was really impressed!

I currently have a WB 25 peninsula as well as a Red Sea 450 (115g total).

I think my overall goal is somewhere around 200g. I have a 5ft long tank now, but 6+ feet is what I feel I’d be happy with. That extra foot allows for the choice of fish to jump dramatically and I honestly love my fish a bit more than the corals.

My tank is 36 gallon. I find it perfect for my office and space in the rokm but I wish it were bigger from a reef keeping hobby aspect. Hopefully, some day I can't talk the wife in to getting a living room tank

New Upgrade: Innovative Marine 50 Lagoon

Coming from my first Innovative Marine 14 Peninsula! 50 Gal is a bit large for a room tank but really wanted the dimensions 29 x 24 x 16.

Excited to get some water in the new tank hopefully in the next 2 weeks!

I have a 75 gallon and am happy with it. Would I have liked to go bigger? Yes, but wouldn’t fit the space where I wanted to put it. I wanted the tank in a central part of the house where we‘d be able to enjoy it while Just hanging out.

Why would I have liked to go larger? Now that I’ve been in the hobby for almost a year, I’ve realized that at about 125 gallons your choice of fish really opens up.

But, a 125 would have been way too big for the space.

This is our new 750g - 10x4x3. We just set it up in September. This was an update from a 560 which was an update from a 400g. This is part of a 1500g system that includes 2 outdoor 180g sun lit frag tanks.

I agree with vetteguy in that the bigger it is the less maintenance and time it requires. With the exception of algae wipe my system can easily go 30 days without any time from me at all. And it's setup to run up to 10weeks (the time it takes to go thru a 50lb tank of co2) before it definitely needs a pair of human hands to help it out.

Is 750g big enough... Nope. I wish I could go bigger. But this is as big a tank as this house will hold without impeding on how we use our home. 4' of front to back depth is cool... But imagine 5'. 10' of length is beautiful but imagine 12 or 14'.

Downsides to a tank this size.... Holy crap, with 3 sides viewable thats 40sq ft of algae wiping 2-3x a week. Man did it suck up a couple of hundred corals and still have plenty of room for a few hundred more. It's impossible to take a photo of the whole tank that shows how much is in the tank. Until you see the tank in person you have no idea what a 4' depth of field looks like.

Biggest Downside -- The amount of money given to the utility company every month.

Jesus a tank every 2.5 months!!?

My husband and I have a 500 gallon tank at home, 8' x 3' x 30" I love how big it is but finding stuff to put in it that doesn't look lost gets expensive! I have a 40L AIO at work and I love it, some days I wish I got the 60 instead to fit more corals but I love how it looks!

You have pictures of the 500?
