My yellow Tang is tough but doesn't hassle anyone.
He constantly grazes, cleaning the tank.
Eats pretty well everything I feed

My favorite is what many people consider the most boring. My Convict is an attention hog with a wonderful personality. I also think he looks striking even if he is black and white.

Chocolate Tang for me. My current one nips at the coral - does not do any damage to them, but the areas where it nips do not grow as fast as the areas that he cannot get to.

Purple or Mustard tang is #2 for me - hard to find healthy, robust mustard tangs.

Almost all Tangs are my favorite. Of the 6 I have in my tank, my Unicorn is my favorite so far. Really peaceful, gets along with all other tank mates and an overall character. And getting big quick. My final tang will be a Sohal. I've always had a desire to someday own that tang.

I love convict tangs. I saw a school 1000s while diving in Hawaii. Something to behold in person

I love the purple tang. While he was the boss of the tank, he wasn't overly aggressive to bully fish to death. Once the pecking order was established then all was good. The purple tang added so much beauty with its contrasting cobalt color and bright yellow fins. A very personable fish that ate from our hands and the way he swam through the tank was elegant. Here's a pic of the purple tang we had for many years.

Man im surprised I didnt see it. WHITE TAILED BRISTLETOOTH!!!!! All the coloration of a juvi chevron without the change in adulthood. They stay semi small and for the most part are not that aggressive. Second is the Gold Rims. I want an Achilles but man that money can go to my acan obsession and id rather not build a tank around just the one fish. Sohal if I decide against the goldrim. BTW not my pics as they will all be added at the end and believe me they are much better in person.

It’s so hard to choose — Achilles, powder blue, sohal, clown probably for me.

All are nasty fish so obviously for me it’s simply aesthetics.

Ok so Ive had a tang gang for several years including Achilles (sadly lost him earlier this year) Purple, Powder Blue and Whitetailed Bristletooth that all look beautiful in there own way but my favorite has to be my Fowleri Tang. He has the coolest personality very calm but not scared of the others and always follows me around the tank when I clean the glass or am just looking in. Also love how he can change color in a few seconds depending upon his mood from pale grey to deep brown body with all the color trimmings.
