We are all on here for one purpose- to discuss reefing, to discuss our tanks and discuss our progress and pitfalls. Together as a community, we all get through it and are able to admire and maintain our creation. We end up with Live rock, fish, corals, anemones and invertebrates. At some point , we have the coolest specimen, whether it be a fish, coral, invert or other.

What is your favorite and why?
Post a pic(s) and tell us why its your favorite and what you can tell others who never heard of it or may consider one.

For me with the love of the ocean and its inhabitants, to have a few is my thrill. If one snorkels, often, the first thing we want to see is fish and that is what is my favorite part of reefing. The movement, color, shapes and their unique habits. The few crabs I have can be entertaining as you often ask, where is this crab headed and watching it make its short journey

Assuming that invertebrates include anemones, I'd have to say that they win. Fish and coral are tied for second.
Yes anemones do count and I added it.

I chose anemones but my actual favourite thing about reefing is that 6-8pm window when my lights are peaking and I get to sit down with a beer and stare at my tank for a while after another day of grinding at work.

I'm a coral guy at heart, but I love all of it! But...if asked would I want a tank of only 1 of the choices above, I'd pick coral every time.

Corals got me in the hobby initially but I've come to find I enjoy the equipment, automation and diy just as much. I'm 2.5 years into this hobby. Had some success but I feel like I should have had more success than I did. Reefing humbled me pretty quick! Here's a pic of my favorite piece. I know its a favia, local reefer who it came from calls it monsters inc but. Would be nice to see if anyone else has seen one?

I like the coral the most, only have 7 fish in my 110 gallon. I like meeting with the local group in my area and just being able to get together with the same minded people is been the best for my mental health.

I say the fish because I love being greeted by all my little critters every morning for breakfast :)

I'd have to say all of the above, but what I really like is any type of noticeable progress, wether its with coral growth, anemone growth, fish behavior, new growth on live rock. It's what keeps my interest.
