What is your ideal temp.

Living in Florida I only use a heater about 4 months out of the year, the temp. range is 78 to79 F. above 79 F. then the fan cuts on.

I was reading a bit of "Coral" by Eric Borneman and he was discussing ideal temp. for our reefs and it got me wondering if the 76 degrees I keep my reef at might be too low. Wondering what temp. most reefers aim for? and why?
Cheers! Mark
I don’t use a heater and my temp fluctuates in the mid to high 70ies. The key is gradual change.

Apparently coral growth is best between 78-80 degrees.

not sure where I got that information from, could be erroneous. But I’ve always just used that for some reason....
