Hello everyone. My tank has officially hit 1 year up and running. I've noticed some small patches of algae growing in my tank. Not sure what type of algae it is or what I can do to get rid of it. My tank is a 75 gallons. I have blue legs hermits, 3 Mexican turbo snails, and some trochus or astrea snails. I also have 2 fire shrimp, 1 cleaner skunk shrimp, 1 coral banded shrimp and 1 peppermint shrimp.

I really thought between my cleanup crew and my live stock, that they would eat all the algae, but I keep seeing more and more small patches popping up.

Below are pics of my tank and below that are pics of the algae I'm concerned about.

Is there anything I can do to get rid of it?

It will be easier to help identify under white lights. I am pretty inexperienced and can’t make it out very easily under the blues. But somebody here probably can.

But nice tank looks awesome.

Looks like hair algae. I'd leave it alone and let it run it's course.

Yeah, looks like a hair algae to me as well. Maybe “feather hair algae?” It doesn’t look too bad at this point but if it’s an ongoing issue you might want to look at your nutrients and do a little research on getting rid of hair algae. Might want to look into Fluconazole treatments as well.
