I am currently running 2x A360 WE Kessils on my 36x17x17 tank, and so far so good (Started again in June). I am currently waiting for the Kessil AP700, and once they come out with the light and tank mount, I will be switching.

Although the AP700 is out of your range you gave, I think it's worth looking into, if you are willing to spend the money. It should be coming out in the next couple weeks.

Yeah i have been licking my chops with that one. It is pricy for sure, but pretty awesome

That's easy :) Tell her it's an investment for your future. One day... when your tank has AMAZING corals in it, this light will help it grow faster... which will eventually allow you to frag them.. so you can sell. Then you'll make your money back in no time!

I was very curious about these. Do they offer good coral growth and color?

I had great growth and color. I kept LPS and softies. I never made it past 75% in a 150 DD tank. I was recommended them by my LFS owner who has a 220 in his office. It's full of everything.

I'm running 2 Kessil 160's, Tuna Blue on a tank that's 36 x 18 x 21 and having great success with both growth and color. Frags are growing very well. However, I did have one with a defective fan but Kessil took care of it and they were a pleasure to deal with. Will not hesitate to buy again.

I tried a reef breeders value fixture several years ago. The price certainly was good, but I just wasn't happy with it so I sold it and went back to T 5's .
Then I won a Radion led fixture at a lfs raffle. I put that one over the tank and once I figured out how to run the software program, I realized this fixture really was what I was looking for.
I liked the one so much, I bought 3 more for my 240.
