I was just researching between getting 3 XR15s and a Meridian 45 (I will get edge bars in the future) for my new waterbox Infinia Reef 190 and I ended up with the Meridians. They seem to get more PAR in the videos of people testing them and when I reached out to Reefbreeders with mounting questions they were super responsive, their customer service has been amazing so far.
From what I’ve seen Meridian blows XR 15’s out of the water. Good choice. To me the xr 15’s are for nano tanks. That’s just my perception. Granted I’ve never owned one so don’t get mad anyone 🙃 just saw a really nice 180 recently at a new friend’s house but it had like 20 XR fifteens on it when he could’ve just had a Meridian.
Also, I have no long-term durability things to say here as I have not owned the Meridian very long and I know there’s a lot of gen three radions floating around, so they’ve proven their worth.
